Tricholoma flavovirens ( Man on Horseback)  This is an excellent edible.  It has gotten bad press in recent years, but I have eaten it for years and no problem what so ever and it has the added bonus of fruiting when very few other good edibles fruit.  It is found in late fall to early winter in TN.  Look for it under white pines and hemlocks.  It has some look alikes so make sure on it or any wild mushroom.  Cap: yellow to greenish yellow, viscid when moist, streaked on disk, the odor is non distinctive.  Gills: yellow, sinuate.
