Description:
Common Name: Corticium caeruleum Description: Dark blue, velvet-like, edges usually lighter blue. Merging with others in sheets. Cap: N/A Flesh: Thin, membranous, soft, fairly detachable when fresh, but more adherent to log/ wood when older. Gills: N/A Stalk: N/A Fruiting: On dead wood in warm temperate zones. Edibility: Of no value because of texture. Note: This was found in September 2004 in Twiggs County in Georgia. It is the first time I have ever encountered it.
