Where:   To be held in 2-3 Locations near Columbus, Ohio.

When:   Friday Night September 28th, Saturday 29th, and Sunday 30th, 2012

Deadline to register: September 10th, 2012

     Come and join Chris Matherly and Levena, in Ohio for the 2012 Morel Mushroom Hunting Club's 2nd Ohio Hen Of The Woods Member Foray.  Last year alone I found more than 100 total rosette's of this beautiful mushroom!  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity so make sure you register immediately, as it will be on a first come first served basis, and limited to the first 15 registrants.

We will have our "Base Camp" at Alum Creek State Park near Columbus, Ohio.   There camping available at the park, and many close by hotels.

The Food: (The meal alone would go for upwards of $75 per plate in a nice restaurant)

We first start off with a delicious appetizer- Stuffed Jalapeños, with morels, cream cheese, bacon bits, and ramps or wild onions.

Then, we have a side-dish of a wild edible plant such as Poke or Nettles, something very unique and delicious.

Wild Mushroom Soup- This is my specialty, many have told me "this is literally the best soup I've ever  had!"

Grilled steak, topped with mushroom sauce and finally...

Mushroom alfredo pasta! (Sometimes topped with fiddleheads)

What is included?

* Friday Night Meet and Chat at the Park Office.

* 1 1/2- Days of guided Mushroom hunting.

* Lunch and drinks for Day One.

* A very nice Morel Club T-Shirt (Hen Of The Woods).

* A DVD movie of our foray and events.

* A Mushroom presentation by Chris matherly on Saturday Eve, questions and answers/ slideshow, snacks!

* And best of all- A Steak and Mushroom Cooked-Out Feast! with A Sampling of one of Chris' Unique Pasta/ Fettuccini Alfredo and Maitake Recipe on Sunday. Also we will have Hen Of The Woods Herbal Tea. This is a medicinal and very health oriented mushroom!

* Assistance with Camping/ Park Lodging/ or finding a Hotel.
